The Blastoff Network

Just what is the Blastoff Network and how do I benefit from it?  The Blastoff Network is quite simply the most dynamic Home Page on the web today.

Just launched on October 27, 2009 The Blastoff Network incorporates the largest News, Sports, Entertainment, Social Networking sites, Games and a virtual shopping mall that offers not only additional discounts from your favorite online websites, but pays you when you share the love and invite others to YOUR very own Blastoff website and it does it all from one home page.

All you do is Launch to the web from YOUR own Blastoff website and Blastoff tracks all of your online purchases, gets you additional discounts and tracks your sales commissions not only from your purchases but from all the people that you invite to become a Blastoff member (from your site) out to 10 degrees of separation.  It is exponential in its growth – if you invite 2 people and they in turn invite 2 people each etc  - down to the 10th degree of separation there will be 1024 people helping you make money.  (What if you invited 3 and they all invited 3 etc – at level 10 there would be 59,049 people).

This in turn helps the Chamber make money, helps you save money and make money while helping others to do the same - a win, win, win!

It's FREE to join and will only take 3 minutes to sign up.  Go to www.yourchamber.com and look for the Blastoff link.  Click on the link and then make your own Blastoff home page and get started helping others.  This supports your chamber and will benefit you too.  It is FUN, FREE & EASY.

If you have further questions contact Scott Leeding at 503-936-1518.

Oak Lodge District Voters Back Sewer Bonds

On November 3, voters in the Oak Lodge Sanitary District approved the sale of up to $44 million in general obligation bonds to improve the wastewater treatment plant. The bonds will be repaid through monthly sewer rates.

The District Board is committed to continue exploring ways to bring down project costs. Last week, the state of Oregon awarded the district a $5 million interest-free loan that will further reduce the cost to customers.

The district will be moving ahead in the next few months to begin construction on this important upgrade of the community’s wastewater treatment plant to protect the Willamette River.

For more information, contact Michael Read, General Manager 503-653-1653 or visit the District’s website.

Hooley featured speaker at grand opening

Former U.S. Rep. Darlene Hooley will be a featured speaker at the grand opening of the Veterans Education & Training Center at Clackamas Community College on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The grand opening celebration begins at 9 a.m. in DeJardin Hall.

Hooley has long been a champion for veterans in Oregon and began the process for the $381,000 congressional award CCC received this year to increase outreach to veterans in the region. The Veterans Education & Training (VET) Center is one of many initiatives under way at CCC to help veterans navigate the higher-education system and integrate into civilian life.

Hooley will be joined at the grand opening event by state Sen. Martha Schrader, Colonel Scott McCrae, director of the Oregon National Guard Reintegration Program, and CCC President Joanne Truesdell.

The VET Center at CCC is designed to support veterans and active military in the Portland Metro area, as well as spouses and family members, through providing information about education and training opportunities and critical community resources. College staff specializing in veterans’ affairs will be available to assist veterans in the center.

For information about the grand opening of the VET Center, please contact Shelly Parini at 503-594-3015. For information about veterans services at the college, contact Bill Zuelke at 503-594-3430.
