Two local
charities selected for chamber gifts
Join your friends, make new ones, enjoy great music and food, and
celebrate the giving season with recognition of local charities at the
annual Christmas Giving Breakfast December 11.
This year the Chamber Ambassadors have selected two charities that will
share a portion of the ticket profits; Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries and
Oregon Impact.
Thiessen Roadhouse Ministries provides housing for women in crisis seeking the possibility of hope and a better way of life. Oregon
Impact’s mission is to provide community education, prevention and
awareness activities to stop individuals from driving under the
influence of intoxicants.
Additionally, charitable contributions by area businesses to other
charities will be recognized, along with the annual celebration of
Operation Santa Claus, organized by Clackamas County fire #1. If your
business would like to give their charitable contribution that morning
please let Debra Schlosser at the Chamber office know. Thanking
contributors to local charities and seeing the joy of local charities as
they receive seasonal gifts are all part of this annual Christmas Giving
Breakfast, hosted at Willamette View Retirement Community.
The local residential and extended care campus provides a full buffet
breakfast for 150 Chamber guests. Tickets always go quickly, so it’s a
wise Santa who buys early!
Plenty of door prizes are always given for this breakfast, so your
chances of going home with a gift for you or someone else are pretty
high! If you would like to contribute a door prize, contact the chamber
office staff or Andrew Stein (Logotek) to receive great marketing for
your gift donation.
Food,
fun, friends, charity celebration – all in one place for you!
Tickets for this event, which replaces that morning’s AM Business
Connection, are $20 each and can be ordered on-line or at the Chamber
offices now. A portion of each ticket cost is dedicated to gifts for the
Chamber’s chosen charities.
Tickets are limited, and advance registration is a must. Contact the
Chamber at
www.yourchamber.com. Or 503-654-7777.
