Way-finding throughout North Clackamas

New roads, new schools, a different landscape all the time – that’s the story of today for North Clackamas. Your Chamber has an answer for finding your way around all those new areas.

Ad sales for the all new 2010-2011 North Clackamas County Map are now underway,

according to Chamber President/CEO, Wilda Parks. The Map will be produced by Chamber member, VillageProfile.com,Inc.®, the nation's premier Chamber publisher.

The new Map will be available next spring. The 10,000 printed copies will be distributed by the Chamber throughout the North Clackamas County area to visitors, tourists, conference attendees, realtors, government offices and to individuals and businesses interested in relocation to the area.

The Chamber is taking part in the Village ProfileTM Mobile Map Publishing Program TM, the only one of its kind available to Chambers of Commerce. In addition to the printed version, the map and all advertisements will be online at Village ProfileTM Community Profile Network® website soon after they are published, and will also link from the Chamber's website.

The new North County Map will be interactive, which means it can be wirelessly accessed at www.vpmobile.us via laptop and desktop computers, PDAs, smart phones, web-enabled cell phones and most other mobile devices, and allows users to link directly to advertisers' websites, as well as direct-dial advertisers in real time.

The Village ProfileTM community portal garnered nearly 24 million hits in 2008 and 2,342,900 page views -- nearly 1.7 million of which were unique page views. The vpmobile.us site had 4,333,000 hits in 2008. Since 1996, the site has seen nearly 220,000,000 hits from Internet locales around the world and from all manner of users: education, government, business, individual, organization, and of course, .coms.

“We’re especially excited about the interactive qualities offered by this company,” Parks said. “Each day our Chamber strives to be additionally connected to the Internet and this will be a huge plus for our members and for all the users of the Web. While we don’t think a printed map is archaic yet, we also know the interactive piece is vital.”

Advertising in your Chamber-sponsored Map has even more advantages. According to a national study recently conducted by the Atlanta-based marketing company, The Schapiro Group, "consumers are 63 percent more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local chamber" and "they are 44 percent more likely to think favorably about" the business.

The report further concluded that, "When business decision makers believe that a business is a chamber member" they are "59 percent more likely to buy goods and services from it."

Businesses interested in advertising should call Village ProfileTM representative Lini Handy at the Chamber office, 503-654-7777 or (cell) 760-567-9430.
