The Columbia River Crossing (CRC) project is a long-term, comprehensive transportation project that will replace the aging I-5 bridge, extend light rail to Clark College in Vancouver, improve seven highway interchanges and include a better pathway for bikes and pedestrians.

Community Hospitals get the "Go" to merge

Oregon's attorney general has reviewed and approved Providence's affiliation with Willamette Falls Hospital. This important decision clears the way for the two organizations to officially join together on Oct. 1, 2009, bringing renewed commitment to excellent health services for people cared for by Willamette Falls Hospital.

Facts about the H1N1 flu

Pandemic H1N1 influenza means that a new influenza virus is circulating all over the world.  Several hundred cases have been confirmed in Oregon, with about 1-in-every 4 cases coming from Multnomah County.

Oregon E-Cycles provides free electronics recycling; disposal ban comes next 
No computers in the landfill


Since Jan. 1, 2009, the Oregon E-Cycles program has allowed individuals and businesses to take up to seven computers, laptops, monitors and TVs at a time to approved Oregon E-Cycles sites, free of charge. Starting Jan. 1, 2010, "part two" goes into effect: a disposal ban for those same electronics.
