Supply Our Schools
One of the ways Your Chamber supports local students is through Supply Our Schools , a project that connects businesses who donate discarded or discontinued inventory and supplies, and teachers who need the supplies for the classroom. Chamber partners in the SOS project are the North Clackamas and Gladstone School Districts, local governments and local businesses. It is made possible by a generous grant from Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
Program goals are to divert 17 tons of material from the waste stream, and to get business people to consider other uses for things they would normally recycle or throw away.
SOS is sponsored by North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, Clackamas County Community Environment and the City of Milwaukie.
