    Health and Safety, All Here for You

    From western-traditional physicians to holistic healers and pharmacists to herbologists, instant relief or long-term care, youโ€™ll find all types in North Clackamas. Whether for you, your children, aging adults, or special needs; medical needs of all kinds are found in the area. Clackamas County has a number of hospitals, physician clinics, and other medical practices. A training center for medical science is open on the Clackamas Community College Harmony Campus.

    County Sheriff

    Safety and security are some of the major public concerns for the area and are handled throughout the county by Clackamas County Sheriffโ€™s Office as well as other local police departments. The Sheriffโ€™s Office provides an assurance of security, safety and quality law enforcement services to all people of Clackamas County.  They make up a variety of specialized units providing support services to citizens and agencies countywide. These services include: Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Hostage Negotiation Unit, Forensic Investigations Unit, Traffic Enforcement Unit, Marine Unit, Search and Rescue, Crime Analysis, Crime Prevention, Explosives and Hazardous Materials Disposal and Traffic Crash and Reconstruction Unit.

    Fire District

    Clackamas Fire District, an internationally accredited organization provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to five cities including: Milwaukie, Oregon City, Happy Valley, Johnson City and Damascus, as well as many unincorporated areas. Clackamas Fire District #1 has 25 fire stations strategically located throughout Clackamas County with a workforce of more than 300 employees & 100 volunteers and is the second largest fire protection district in Oregon, serving over 179,000 citizens in an area covering nearly 200 square miles. 

    Emergency services needs are covered by American Medical Response ambulance service and Clackamas Fire District #1. Metro West Ambulance is available for non-life treating prescheduled transports.
