Indoor & Out Local Entertainment
Entertainment comes in a rainbow of choices in North Clackamas. Families will enjoy the festivals and Farmers’ Markets of the area, the Aquatic Park and museums and many of the live theater performances. All of the communities of the chamber area host one or more festivals, most from July to September, with some holiday events in various communities.
If a movie is your recreation there are several cinemas in the Sunrise Communities, including the sixteen screen multi-plex at Clackamas Town Center. New Century Players, a local community theater groups, mounts several performances each year including a murder mystery dinner theater. At Clackamas Community College, the Clackamas Repertory Theater has an annual season with season or individual tickets available. A smaller, more community oriented venue is provided in Boring at the Nuts ‘N Bolts theater with live performances by the many talented people in the area.
With a variety of outdoor recreation all year round, this section of Oregon’s Mt Hood Territory can fill every need. From the year round skiing at Mt Hood to the geocaches throughout the area, walks through the trails and mountains, bicycle rides on the Springwater Corridor and finding all the secret sweet spots in the area. Golfers will enjoy the many clubs in the area and swimmers delight in the offerings at the Aquatic Park.
