The Seasoned Adult Enrichment Program (SAEP) presents weekly programs for seniors and retirees at Clackamas Community College’s Harmony Campus. The program provides seniors in the county with an educational experience designed and administered by “seasoned adults” in the community.

All classes are held Wednesdays at CCC’s Harmony Road campus in room 191 unless otherwise indicated. All sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. This winter’s SAEP schedule follows:

    • Jan. 29: “Adventures in Alaska.” Debbie Baker Antcliffe, John Antcliffe, and Jim and Madeline Roberts share their adventures in Alaska.
    • Feb. 5: “Permaculture Techniques.” Lichen June shares a film about permaculture and leads a discussion of this alternative farming technique.
    • Feb. 12: “Field Trip to Pacific Hazelnut Farms and Candy Factory.” Pacific Hazelnut Farms in Aurora produces an assortment of nutritional hazelnut products. Participants will travel by van to Aurora.
    • Feb. 19: “Pain Management Tools & Tips.” Clinical geropsychologist Dr. Martha Green discusses her work in pain management.
    • Feb. 26: “A Musical History of Clackamas County.” Jerry Hermann & the New History Minstrels barbershop quartet add a new dimension to their genre of music by teaching about the history of Clackamas County.
