Special holiday performance by the Activities Toward Enrichment Choir

A group of honored artists have been diligently preparing to take the stage at Exceed’s Open House on December 13 at 12:30pm (5285 SE Mallard Way, Milwaukie). The choir will lift spirits as they showcase the hard work, heart and humanity of some of the most under-recognized individuals (we guarantee that it’ll be hard not to sing along!). Guests of Exceed’s Open House will also be able to take tours of the Work Center and the Work Futures Lab, as well as enjoy cake and punch.

“Open house guests are in for a real treat,” says Lori Spurgeon, Exceed’s Activities Toward Enrichment Program Coordinator. “The 25-member choir has been meeting twice a week practicing all sorts of holiday songs, so the performance is bound to be inspirational, fun and very moving.”

This special event kicks off a 3-month public relations campaign entitled “Exceed…in your community” that will help get the word out even more about the innovative programs that they provide for people with disabilities. The campaign will include advertisements in local newspapers, a new series of videos, presentations at local organizations and more choir performances.

Established in 1968, Exceed Enterprises is a nonprofit organization that provides vocational and personal development services for people with disabilities. Exceed’s friendly staff provide a safe and nurturing environment for more than 180 adults.
