An informative exhibit titled “Peace Corps: 50 Years of Service” opened March 31st in Clackamas Community College’s (CCC) Alexander Gallery and runs through May 8th. The exhibit is courtesy of the Committee for a Museum of the Peace Corps Experience, and is featured in connection with the college’s annual International Celebration.

“Peace Corps: 50 Years of Service” is an informative exhibition that includes large panels with images and text that describe various cultures and Peace Corps activities. Cultural objects obtained by Peace Corps volunteers will also be on display. Portions of the exhibit also will be on display in the Community Center and in the Pauling Gallery.

The exhibit communicates the service Peace Corps volunteers have provided to people of various cultures in several fields, including education, medicine and housing. The exhibits illustrate the Peace Corps volunteers’ interaction with people to help achieve their basic needs, and promotes an understanding of the people served.
