The public is invited to learn more about Clackamas County’s plans to extend Monterey Avenue from 82nd Avenue to Fuller Road at an open house set for Wednesday, March 5.

People are invited to stop by any time between 5:00pm and 7:00pm at LaSalle High School, 11999 SE Fuller Road, Clackamas, to see and comment on current plans.

Clackamas County is planning to extend Monterey Avenue by 1,200 feet to create a new east-west connection for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians. While construction is planned for 2015, design planning is under way.

The extension is expected to include:

    • Two to three travel lanes
    • Bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the street
    • Stormwater and drainage improvements
    • Landscaping and street lighting
    • Signal improvements at SE 82nd Avenue.

The $7.2 million project is funded by the Clackamas Town Center Urban Renewal District. Additional details and project updates are available on the project website at http://www.clackamas.us/engineering/tolbertbridge.html.
