Two well-known Clackamas cardiologists have joined Steven Riley, M.D., at the Providence Heart Clinic located on the Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center campus. Patients who have been cared for by Dr. Davies and Dr. Quintos are invited to see them at their new office. They are also accepting new patients:

William M. (Bill) Davies, M.D., understands each person is unique. “I think it is very important to take time with patients to understand their perspective, and provide education in terms that make sense to them. In the long run, it is most important to develop a partnership with patients to establish a treatment plan that will improve their health.”
Dr. Davies received his medical degree from Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. He completed his internship and residency at Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wis., and fellowship at University of Vermont. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Davies understands the value of an active lifestyle. He enjoys exercise and the outdoors. In college, he was a competitive Nordic ski racer and later developed a passion for backcountry Telemark skiing in northern New Mexico. Now he enjoys running, hiking, and skiing with his family. He even has an organic garden and grows his own greens and vegetables.

Robert F. Quintos, M.D., considers his most important role is to educate and raise awareness of cardiovascular health. “Heart disease is not inevitable and is many times preventable,” he says. “The greatest challenge is helping people understand that change may be necessary, even when they feel healthy. Prevention starts with awareness of your risk.” He enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and their families. “I am always humbled each time a new patient trusts me with their care. This is a responsibility to I do not take lightly.”

Dr. Quintos earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas in Houston and completed his residency at Loyola University in Maywood, Ill. He came to Oregon for his fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, and is board certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology and coronary CT angiography and has a special interest in heart disease in athletes.
