Safety booths will be located inside and outside the mall near Sears. More than 20 organizations will be there to educate adults and children on a variety of safety-related issues, including how to call 9-1-1, water and fire safety, pet adoption and school bus safety.

Special events and offers will include:

  • Free helmets (while supplies last) for children 18 years and younger who visit safety stations, and reduced-price helmets available for adults.
  • Free child identification kits from Secure Child
  • Life jacket fitting demonstrations by American Medical Response
  • Equipment demonstration by representatives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Marine and Traffic Units
  • A Portland General Electric display of its “Hazard Hamlet” to illustrate electrical risks at home

  • A crashed car from Oregon Impact to educate people on the dangers of impaired driving
  • Riding pedal cars on Safety Street for children 8 years old and younger
