Representative Shemia Fagan (D – Mid Multnomah/North Clackamas Counties) will be joined by Representative Jeff Reardon (D – East Portland / Happy Valley) and Senator Chuck Thomsen (R – Hood River) in hosting a representative from Cover Oregon for a free training event on October 30th. Business owners are encouraged to bring their laptops and will receive hands-on guidance on how to enroll in the new health care exchange.

“Cover Oregon comes up all the time when I’m talking to small business owners in my district,” said Rep. Fagan. “They are sick of the political games surrounding it and just want to know how it works and if it will help them provide insurance to their employees.”

“While Cover Oregon makes purchasing health insurance easier, my constituents still seek advice in navigating the site and selecting the best plan for their employees,” said Rep. Reardon. “Having real-time assistance will be very beneficial to local business owners.”

While targeted toward small business owners, members of the public are welcome to attend free of charge and ask questions. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to rep.shemiafagan@state.or.us
