Adventist Health opens Willamette View Medical Office to public

Adventist Heath Medical Group now offers primary care services to the public at its location on the Willamette View campus in Milwaukie. The medical office is open weekdays and is staffed with primary care providers.

 “We’re pleased to offer convenient health care services to families and people of all ages who are living just south of downtown Portland,” said Paul Krull, Clinic Administrator. “By opening this medical office to the public, we’re responding to the community’s request for access to quality care in their own back yard.”

 Representatives for Adventist Health, Willamette View and your Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the clinic’s new availability to members of the community.  

 Adventist Health and Willamette View, a senior residential community, began a collaboration over a year ago, when Adventist was asked to provide Willamette View residents and employees health services.  The partnership is now growing to include providing care for the people of Milwaukie and surrounding communities, who will have access to health providers committed to collaborating with patients in treating the mind, body and spirit.

 “We value the wonderful partnership we’ve formed with Adventist Health during the past year,” said Craig Van Valkenburg, Willamette View CEO. “We appreciate the alignment we have in values for patient and resident care and look forward to local nearby neighborhoods in Milwaukie and southeast Portland being able to access Adventist Health care on our campus.”

 Adventist Health’s history dates back more than 120 years to the early 1890s when it first started in Portland. Willamette View, also deeply rooted in Portland, opened in 1955 and is the earliest established Continuing Care Retirement Community in the city.
