Since 1997, more than 500 students have benefited from a co-admission agreement between Clackamas Community College (CCC)  and Portland State University (PSU). Presidents of PSU and CCC will attend a signing ceremony on Monday, November 18th, formalizing a renewed co-admission agreement between the two colleges.

PSU President Wim Wiewel and CCC President Joanne Truesdell will formally mark the agreement during a ceremony at 2:00pm in the Niemeyer Center at Clackamas’ Oregon City campus.

The agreement between the two schools creates a seamless pathway for students who start at CCC and plan to finish their bachelor’s degree at PSU. Students in the program complete one application and enjoy access to services and facilities at both schools. Financial aid and scholarship opportunities are coordinated between the two schools.

While the co-admission agreement dates back to 1997, the new agreement will open the way for people who have completed a bachelor’s degree, and are now returning to school to pursue a second degree in a new career field, to take advantage of the program. Under the original agreement that was not possible.

In addition to Portland State, CCC shares degree partnership programs with Oregon State University and Oregon Institute of Technology.
